In the world of Saturate! Records family and affiliates, there is one who has been making big strides lately, and this new EP is absolute proof of that.

Hamburg’s own YUNIS is back to bat at SATURATE!, and he is poised to knock it right out of the park with this one. Tracks like “Twisted Up” bring his signature atmosphere and stutter to a quick head, and one can only imagine an entire room jumping in unison at that point! But just when you think it’s all hype and no substance, Yunis does another signature move and creeps in some lovely chords and moments of beauty before smacking you in the face once again.

“Make It” utilizes atmosphere to welcome you into this weird world, where robot birds call out from the tree tops of a low frequency rainforest, and potential danger lies around every corner.

We see the stately triplet pomp and arrogance of Grime styles come to a banging explosion on “Grimeting”, where Yunis shows his uncanny knack for adding some syncopated vibes to run your head mad.

His style strikes the perfect balance on “Fidget”, where lovely vibed-out synth chords make way for the headbanging drops in wonderful yin / yang contrast.

The gorgeous string and vocal samples in “Fallen” wrap the heavy bass thump and slow tempo in a somber beauty that makes this track straight up otherworldly.

As we know from DrillDrill, Yunis excels in collaboration mode, and there are two earth shattering team-ups on this one. When Saturate! Crew badman Subp Yao enters the fray with Yunis, a frenetic and devastating result comes out in their “Message”, scraping the inside of your brain clean with sinister synthesis.

The ridiculous bombast on display with “20G Stax” show why both Yunis and BANGANAGANGBANGERS are label staples. Add to this uplifting beatdown remixes from Saturate staples and maybe you better check to see if your speakers are melting a little bit!
